Amitabha Buddha
Amitabha Buddha is also known as Amida Buddha, is a central figure in Mahayana Buddhism, particularly in Pure Land traditions. According to Buddhist tradition, Amitabha made a vow to create a Pure Land—a paradise where beings could be reborn and easily attain enlightenment. This Pure Land, known as Sukhavati, is a place free from suffering, where Amitabha’s followers can practice and eventually reach Buddhahood.
