Shakyamuni Buddha
Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama Buddha is revered as the historical founder of Buddhism. Born into a royal family in ancient Nepal around the 6th century BCE, he left a life of luxury to seek the end of human suffering. Through intense meditation, Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, becoming the "Awakened One." Shakyamuni's teachings form the foundation of Buddhism, emphasizing the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, which guide practitioners toward liberation from the cycle of rebirth (samsara) and ultimately achieving Nirvana. Shakyamuni Buddha image, depicted in Buddha statues across the world, symbolizes wisdom, compassion, and the universal potential for enlightenment.
