Four-Armed Chenrezig Statue, Introduction
A depiction of Chenrezig crafted from a combination of 24K gold and oxidized copper creates a visually striking and symbolically rich representation of this revered bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism. At Chenrezig's heart, his first two hands pressed together signify his solemn vow to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to alleviate the sorrow of all sentient beings. One of Chenrezig's right hands clasping a crystal rosary represents his ability to liberate beings from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (Samsara). In his left hand, Chenrezig holds the stem of an Utpala flower, symbolizing his constant and loving Bodhichitta motivation.
