Vintage White Tara Statue | 20 Year Old Masterpiece Sculpture

A quiet sense of grace and timeless devotion radiates from this Antique White Tara statue, a rare Himalayan sculpture created more than two decades ago by master artisans of the traditional Newar metalworking lineage. Carefully shaped from copper and finished with gold gilding, the surface has naturally matured over time into a rich golden-brown hue that enhances the statue’s depth and authenticity. White Tara revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the embodiment of compassion and long life, is seated in serene composure upon a finely detailed lotus seat, framed by an ornate floral halo that symbolizes purity and enlightened presence.

Standing approximately 14 inches tall and weighing 5.04 kg, this substantial piece reflects both artistic mastery and spiritual symbolism, making it suitable for a meditation space or serious collection of Himalayan art. Its aged finish, balanced proportions and intricate detailing highlight the craftsmanship of an earlier generation of artists, offering not only a sacred representation of White Tara but also a tangible connection to the devotional artistry and cultural heritage of Nepal and Tibet.

About White Tara

White Tara, also known as Sita Tara, is a revered female Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism who embodies maternal compassion, healing, and longevity. She is often depicted as a serene figure with seven eyes, three on her face, and one on each palm and solesymbolizing her vigilant awareness and ability to see the suffering of all beings. Born from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, she represents the feminine aspect of enlightened compassion and serves as a protector against physical and spiritual obstacles. Practitioners invoke White Tara Mantra: "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayuh Punya Jnana Pustim Kuru Svaha", to cultivate inner peace, extend life, and overcome illness. Her radiant white form signifies purity and wisdom, making her a beloved guide on the path to spiritual awakening.
