Handcrafted by Newari artisans from Nepal using lost-wax method, this statue is cast from copper and richly fire-gilded with 24K Gold reflecting exceptional artistry and devotion. Seated upon a beautifully handcarved lotus pedestal, Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion is shown in sacred Yab-Yum posture with his consort, making it a meaningful centerpiece for meditation altars and sacred spaces dedicated to the path of enlightenment.

Chenrezig’s four arms carry sacred symbols of his enlightened qualities. His first pair of hands rests at his heart holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, while his second right hand carries a crystal rosary and his second left hand holds a white lotus flower. His silk-like garment is finely handcarved with floral motifs and his consort holds a kartika knife and kapala. Devotees turn to Chenrezig for his association with loving-kindness and alleviation of suffering, making this statue especially meaningful for meditation and devotional practice.

The statue includes a hollow chamber designed to hold rolled mantras, sacred relics, incense, herbal powders, and fragrant wood. During consecration, these are carefully filled and blessed through ritual prayers by qualified monks, making the statue spiritually complete and ready for your altar. A fee will be charged for this service, which is respectfully donated to the lamas performing the rituals.

Please note: Once consecrated, each statue becomes a sacred object and part of your spiritual journey. As such, it cannot be returned or refunded after this special blessing.

The statue arrived in Switzerland via express delivery in an incredible three days, in a wooden crate secured with nails. It was thickly packaged, officially sealed, and included additional gifts. The artistic expression is beautiful and vibrant, which is especially rare for a small statue. The small colored beads are glued on and may fall off, but the important thing is the sturdy metalwork. Even without filling the crate, the bottom of the statue was securely sealed with a hammer and a copper disc. Everything demonstrates great care and dedication, and it will be a valuable aid to me.
