About Vajrakilaya

Vajrakilaya, revered as a powerful wrathful deity in Tibetan Buddhism, embodies the enlightened energy that purifies spiritual obscurations and overcomes obstacles on path to awakening. He is commonly depicted holding a ritual phurba, or three-sided ritual dagger, which symbolizes the power to cut through ignorance, attachment, and hatred. His transformative energy is invoked through the sacred mantra “Om Vajra Kili Kilaya Sarva Bighanen Bam Hum Phat”, which devotees recite to seek protection, purify spiritual obscurations, and overcome inner and outer obstacles on the path toward enlightenment.
