This extra-large Jowo Rinpoche statue brings the sacred image of Buddha Shakyamuni to a truly grand scale, inspired by the revered original enshrined in Lhasa's Jokhang Temple. Handcrafted in Nepal, the sculpture begins as a hand-shaped wax model that captures every contour of the Buddha's form with remarkable precision. Once cast in solid copper alloy, each surface is hand-chiseled and polished to bring out lifelike detail. and then finished with triple layers of gold fire gilding for a brilliant radiance.

Seated on double lotus seat, the crowned Buddha extends his right hand toward the earth in the Bhumisparsha mudra while his left hand rests in the lap cradling a Patra bowl. Rising above the gold-painted face is an elaborate five-Buddha crown, each peaks set with the five primordial wisdom Buddhas. Flowing crown ribbons are marked with ashtamangala symbols, while ornate earrings and a necklace adorned with conch shell complete the regal presentation. The monastic robe is richly engraved with dense floral scrollwork and accented in semi-precious turquoise, coral and lapis lazuli stone.
