Description

Green Dzambhala Statue – Traditional Nepalese Prosperity Sculpture

This magnificent Green Dzambhala statue is masterfully handcrafted in Nepal from solid copper by skilled Newari artisans, then treated through an oxidation process that forms a rich brownish patina giving the sculpture its dark and golden tonal contrast. Standing 18 inches tall and weighing 8.82 kg, this substantial piece features Green Dzambhala seated upon a multi-layered lotus pedestal in union with his consort dakini Vasudhara, and framed by an elaborately carved flaming prabhavali halo — every detail bearing the hallmark of exceptional Nepalese craftsmanship.

Green Dzambhala holds the Nakula, a jewel-spitting mongoose symbolizing the endless flow of wealth and destruction of poverty, while his consort Vasudhara cradles a kapala skull cup representing the transformation of suffering. Together, they embody the union of material prosperity and spiritual wisdom. An ideal sacred addition to Buddhist altars or fine art collections for those who seek both divine blessings and authentic artistry.
