Guru Padmasambhava Statue | Traditional Nepalese Craftsmanship

Experience the profound blessings of the Guru Rinpoche Statue, a magnificent representation of Padmasambhava, revered as the Second Buddha and one of the most influential masters of Vajrayana Buddhism. Meticulously handcrafted by skilled Newari artisans from Patan, Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting method, this sacred sculpture is expertly cast in copper and finished with a harmonious combination of oxidized and gold-gilded finishes. A serene gold-painted face radiates wisdom and compassion, while carefully inlaid semi-precious stones enrich the statue's sacred beauty and intricate ornamentation.

Guru Rinpoche is enthroned upon an ornately carved throne adorned with mythical creatures that symbolize divine protection and enlightened wisdom. At the top center of the throne is the majestic Kirtimukha, the sacred face of glory, representing the triumph over ego and the protection of the Dharma. The throne base is magnificently supported by two snow lions flanking the Dharma Chakra, symbolizing strength and the continuous turning of the Buddha's teachings. About Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the “Precious Guru,” is a legendary tantric master and enlightened being credited with bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. Born miraculously from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana, he is revered as a fully awakened emanation of the Buddha, sent to tame negative forces and reveal profound esoteric teachings. Guru Rinpoche played a pivotal role in establishing the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and in founding Samye Monastery, Tibet’s first Buddhist monastery. His teachings, miracles, and hidden spiritual treasures (terma) continue to inspire generations of practitioners. He is invoked as the “Second Buddha” and a powerful guide on the path to liberation, with devotees reciting his sacred Guru Rinpoche mantra: Om Ah Hung Vajra Guru Pema Siddhi Hum.
