This exquisite statue of Guru Rinpoche is also known as Padmasambhava. The statue is a vibrant depiction of the Lotus-Born master, embodying the transformative power of enlightenment. Rich in color and symbolism, the statue captures the dynamic energy of the revered Tibetan teacher who is said to have introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet. The statue's vibrant hues represent the alchemy of spiritual transformation, where base ignorance is transmuted into wisdom, and darkness into light. Guru Rinpoche is seated in royal ease, dressed in elaborately detailed robes, each fold adorned with brilliant colors. His crown, rich in gold and adorned with jewels, represents his mastery over the mind and his role as a protector of the Dharma. In his right hand, he holds a vajra, symbolizing indestructible power and wisdom, while in his left hand, he cradles a skull cup, filled with nectar, representing the mastery of life and death. Resting against his left shoulder is the khatvanga, a staff wrapped with symbolic ornaments, representing his union with the divine feminine energy of the Dakini.
