Marpa, Milarepa & Gampopa Statue Collection | Handcrafted In Nepal

This Marpa, Milarepa and Gampopa statue set is handcrafted in Nepal using lost-wax method, a technique passed down through generations of Newari artisans. Each figure is cast in copper and brought to life with acrylic colors, while fine 3D hand-carving lends texture and movement to the monastic robes. Intricate patterns of gold-gilded borders and florals trace every fold adding a lasting shine. Together, these colorful Kagyu lineage statues showcase skill of their makers and the richness of Nepalese Buddhist art.

At the center, Marpa Lotsawa sits in a peaceful meditative posture, symbolizing the transmission of profound Buddhist teachings. To his right, Gampopa represents preservation and practice of these teachings, while Milarepa embodies deep meditation and spiritual realization. The three masters reflect the unbroken Kagyu lineage and the journey from receiving the Dharma to practicing and realizing it. This sacred trio is ideal for a Buddhist altar or meditation space offering an inspiring presence for devotion and contemplation.

About Milarepa, Gampopa & Marpa

Three of the greatest masters of Tibetan Buddhism were Marpa the Translator, Milarepa the Yogin, and Gampopa the Physician. Marpa's journey to India to be trained by the famous siddhas and his passing on of such teachings became the very foundation upon which his disciple Milarepa, the celebrated poet-saint, sonneteer of groaning revelations, could build. Milarepa's disciple Gampopa cemented the principles of the Kagyu school by harmonizing monastic discipline with yogic practice. These three are an embodiment of the passing on of wisdom, perseverance, and compassion through the generations and have become a source of inspiration to an innumerable number of practitioners on the way to freedom.
