This finely handcrafted Vajrayogini statue portrays one of the most revered dakinis of Vajrayana Buddhism in her striking dancing pose, standing above two subdued figures beneath her feet. Cast in solid copper using lost wax technique by Newari artisans of Nepal, the statue is hand-painted with premium colors and gold-gilded. She wears a crown of five skulls and a long skull garland across her chest, symbolizing the transformation of the five poisons into enlightened wisdom.

In her raised left hand she holds a skull cup close to her mouth, while her right lifts a kartika knife. A three-headed khatvanga staff rests upon her shoulder, trailing silk robe and marking her mastery of tantric realization. A flaming halo frames her from behind as she stands upon a lotus pedestal, making this Vajrayogini statue a powerful centerpiece for shrines and meditation spaces devoted to Highest Yoga Tantra.
