This Guru Rinpoche statue honors Padmasambhava, the Lotus-Born Master revered as the Second Buddha, gracefully seated upon a lotus pedestal. His luminous 24K gold-painted face carries a semi-wrathful expression that embodies boundless compassion. In his right hand he holds a vajra while his left cradles a kapala, symbolizing the union of wisdom and skillful means. A powerful focal point for meditation or prayer, this Tibetan Buddhist statue inspires protection and transformation.

Handcrafted by Newari artisans in Nepal, this Padmasambhava statue begins as a hand-shaped wax model and is cast in solid copper alloy using lost-wax technique. Every surface is hand-chiseled and polished to reveal lifelike detail, then finished with triple layers of gold fire-gilding for a lasting radiance. The robe is richly engraved with dense floral scrollwork and accented with semi-precious stones, showcasing generations of refined craftsmanship. About Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the “Precious Guru,” is a legendary tantric master and enlightened being credited with bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. Born miraculously from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana, he is revered as a fully awakened emanation of the Buddha, sent to tame negative forces and reveal esoteric teachings. Guru Rinpoche played a pivotal role in establishing the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and founding Samye Monastery, Tibet’s first Buddhist monastery. His teachings, miracles, and hidden spiritual treasures (terma) continue to inspire generations of practitioners. Often depicted in vibrant robes with a vajra and skull cup, he is invoked as the “Second Buddha” and a powerful guide on the path to liberation.
