Shop Buddha Statue with Wooden Base Online | Handcrafted Large-Sized Masterpiece Sculpture

This meditating Shakyamuni Buddha statue is cast in solid copper using lost wax method, a technique practiced for generations by Newari artisans in Nepal. The finished sculpture is chemically oxidized with an acidic solution that develops a brownish patina, which also protects the copper beneath. Delicate hand-chased engravings add texture and depth to robes and lotus base. Measuring 24 inches in height and weighing 22.08 kg, this life-sized Buddha statue with wooden base carries a commanding yet serene presence. Created as a single work with no copies, it is a true masterpiece and a heirloom for collectors who value rarity and devotion.

Shakyamuni Buddha is seated in bhumisparsa mudra, the earth-touching gesture in which he calls the earth to witness his enlightenment. The figure rests upon a carved lotus pedestal set on a dark wooden base, and his serene expression reflects inner stillness. He wears elaborate earrings and a monastic robe with a floral pattern carved and gemstones adorned borders. Each detail of this meditating Buddha statue makes it a meaningful centerpiece for a home altar, meditation room or temple setting.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

About Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, revered as the "Awakened One of the Shakya Clan," is the historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism who embodies perfect enlightenment through wisdom, compassion, and self-realization. According to sacred texts, he attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya and dedicated his life to teaching the path that leads all beings beyond suffering. His golden form symbolizes the radiance of awakened wisdom that illuminates the true nature of reality. His teachings manifest through the sacred mantra "Om Muni Muni Maha Munaye Soha", which devotees chant to cultivate inner peace, develop wisdom, and awaken their innate Buddha-nature.
