Milarepa
Milarepa is generally considered by most as the favorite and greatest among Buddhist masters of all time in Tibet. His songs about their experienced enlightened lives are sung even today by the learned and laypeople alike. Milarepa committed many crimes in his earlier life, mostly through black magic and sending hail storms. Later on, he repented that evil and came in the way of his most enlightened being of worth, Marpa, who put him to tests and experiences to prove his guru's commitment and eagerness in the practice of dharma teachings. He then conferred on him the series of empowerments and essential teachings of Maha Mudra imparted to him by Naropa.
