Description

Tibetan Rice Pot with Namgyalma & Twin Dragons Icon | Genuine Precious Stone Artwork

This Tibetan Rice Pot is handcrafted in Nepal by a Newari master artist using ancient metalworking techniques. Its durable copper alloy body is layered with gold-gilded and silver-plated filigree, then adorned throughout with genuine turquoise, lapis lazuli, coral and white stone. The body carries the classic auspicious motif of Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl. The pearl represents wish-fulfilling gem and dragons stand as protectors of spiritual treasures (termas). The pot rises from a multi-precious stone pedestal and is fitted with a dual lid. The upper lid is crowned with a crystal half vajra, while the inner lid holds a finely carved white stone icon of Namgyalma. The interior is crafted from silver, giving every offering a pure and worthy vessel.

In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, this Dhupur Rice Pot stands for symbol of abundance, protection and accumulation of merit. It is a vessel of blessings, made to hold rice offerings with the utmost reverence. This Dhupur Rice Pot is ideal for a meditation space or monastery, where it can hold rice for daily offerings and ceremonial rituals. It is equally suited to collectors of sacred art and makes a meaningful gift for practitioners, offering lasting beauty and devotion.
