Vairocana Buddha

Vairocana Buddha is regarded as the cosmic or primordial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the essence of all Buddhas and the embodiment of Dharmakaya, the truth body. Often depicted in a seated posture with the Dharmachakra mudra, symbolic hand gestures. Vairocana symbolizes universal wisdom, enlightenment, and the unity of all phenomena. In Tibetan Buddhism, he occupies a central role in mandalas, signifying the source of all spiritual energy and guiding practitioners toward transcendence. An interesting story recounts that when Shakyamuni Buddha taught the Avatamsaka Sutra, Vairocana manifested as the cosmic teacher illuminating the boundless expanse of the universe, showing that all sentient beings are interconnected and that enlightenment is accessible to all. Devotees invoke Vairocana for clarity, meditation, and insight into the ultimate nature of reality.
