Multi-Color Padmasambhava Sculpture | Legendary Tantric Vajra Master

Expertly hand-sculpted by skilled Newari artisans from Nepal, using the traditional lost-wax casting method, this Multi-Color Padmasambhava Sculpture is an exceptional example of centuries-old Nepali metalworking tradition. Cast from copper and enriched with vibrant, hand-painted acrylic details, the statue features a striking gold-painted face that captures the master's presence with remarkable clarity.

As a high-quality representation of the Legendary Tantric Vajra Master, Guru Rinpoche is portrayed seated gracefully in lalitasana upon a beautifully crafted lotus throne. The gold-painted face displays his commanding semi-wrathful expression, lavished by detailed robes, layered jewelry and intricate ornaments. In his right hand, he holds the sacred vajra, while his left cradles a kapala crowned with a long-life vase and his signature khatvanga trident rests elegantly against his shoulder. Blending deep iconography with Nepal's finest metal artistry, this sacred sculpture embodies enlightened power and profound spiritual significance.

About Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the “Precious Guru,” is a legendary tantric master and enlightened being credited with bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. Born miraculously from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana, he is revered as a fully awakened emanation of the Buddha, sent to tame negative forces and reveal profound esoteric teachings. Guru Rinpoche played a pivotal role in establishing the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and in founding Samye Monastery, Tibet’s first Buddhist monastery. His teachings, miracles, and hidden spiritual treasures (terma) continue to inspire generations of practitioners. He is invoked as the “Second Buddha” and a powerful guide on the path to liberation, with devotees reciting his sacred Guru Rinpoche mantra: Om Ah Hung Vajra Guru Pema Siddhi Hum
