Bring timeless presence of enlightenment home with this Padmasambhava statue, handcrafted by Newari artisans in Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. Shaped from solid copper using ancient metal casting technique, it is illuminated with layers of gold fire-gilding and ornamented with semi-precious turquoise & coral. Fine engravings trace layered robes, while scrolling motifs adorn the lotus pedestal.

Guru Rinpoche, the Lotus-Born Master is seated in his royal form on a tiered lotus seat. His gold-painted face, with finely detailed piercing eyes and mustache, holds a semi-wrathful expression that balances compassionate calm with protective power. He wears his iconic lotus hat topped with a vulture feather, complemented by stone-adorned earrings and elaborate jeweled ornaments.

In his right hand he holds a vajra near the knee, symbolizing indestructible wisdom, while his left cradles a skull cup containing the vase. The sacred khatvanga staff rests against his shoulder, completing this tantric icon with exceptional depth and realism. Enshrined on an altar or in meditation room, this gold fire-gilded copper statue invites the enlightened presence of the Vajra Master into your sacred space.

About Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the “Precious Guru,” is a legendary tantric master and enlightened being credited with bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. Born miraculously from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana, he is revered as a fully awakened emanation of the Buddha, sent to tame negative forces and reveal profound esoteric teachings. His teachings, miracles, and hidden spiritual treasures (terma) continue to inspire generations of practitioners. He is invoked as the “Second Buddha” and a powerful guide on the path to liberation, with devotees reciting his sacred Guru Rinpoche mantra: Om Ah Hung Vajra Guru Pema Siddhi Hum.
