Vajrapani (Chana Dorje) Statue | Tibetan Wrathful Protector Deity Art

Illuminate a sacred space with the powerful presence of Vajrapani (Chana Dorje), the revered Bodhisattva who embodies the strength and energy of all enlightened beings. This handcrafted Vajrapani Statue is created by a skilled Newari artist from Patan, Nepal, using time-honored Himalayan metalworking traditions. Expertly crafted from copper and enriched with a radiant 24K gold fire-gilded finish, the sculpture features a beautifully gold-painted face.

Depicted in a dynamic wrathful stance upon a lotus pedestal surrounded by blazing flames, Vajrapani holds a vajra in one hand and a lasso in the other. These sacred attributes symbolize the power to overcome ignorance, dispel obstacles, and guide beings toward awakening, making this statue a profound representation of spiritual strength, protection, and enlightened energy.

Devotees seek Vajrapani for protection, courage, spiritual strength, and the removal of negative forces that hinder progress on the path to enlightenment. Richly detailed and spiritually significant, this sacred Buddhist statue serves as an inspiring centerpiece for meditation spaces, home shrines, Dharma centers, and Himalayan art collections, bringing blessings of fearlessness, protection, and transformative energy.

About Vajrapani

Vajrapani, whose name means “Holder of the Thunderbolt,” is one of the earliest and most powerful bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. Vajrapāṇi is often depicted in a wrathful form, with a muscular body, a fierce expression, and flames surrounding him, symbolizing his ability to destroy ignorance and obstacles on the path to enlightenment. Legends describe Vajrapāṇi as a guardian of Gautama Buddha, protecting him from harm and embodying the indomitable force of an enlightened mind. He is also known as the “Lord of Secrets” for his role in transmitting tantric teachings to humanity. His mantra, "Om Vajrapāṇi Hūṃ Phaṭ", is chanted to invoke courage, dispel negativity, and cultivate inner strength.
