Handcrafted Vajrasattva Statue | Dorje Sempa Idol for Altar & Meditation

This handcrafted Vajrasattva statue, also known as Dorje Sempa is made by Newari artisans in Nepal using lost-wax technique. Shaped from copper, the figure is chemically treated with an oxidizing agent to create a rich brownish hue and a protective layer. The face is painted in 24K gold, while the jewelry and ornaments are silver-plated. Silver-plated filigree encases semi-precious turquoise, lapis lazuli and coral stones, giving this oxidized finish figurine a refined look that suits any altar or meditation space.

Vajrasattva, the Buddhist purification deity sits serenely on a double-layered lotus. His right hand holds the five-pronged vajra at his heart while his left hand bears the bell, symbolizing the union of skillful means and transcendent wisdom. Layered necklaces, finely hand-chased ornaments and swirling robes shaped through repoussé work complete this embodiment of purification and the enlightened mind, making it a meaningful focus for daily practice and mindful spaces.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

About Vajrasattva

Vajrasattva, revered as the "Dorje Sempa & Lord of Sacred Purification," is a celestial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism who personifies the radiant energy of spiritual cleansing. According to ancient tantric texts, he embodies the perfection of transcendental purity, wielding his vajra scepter and bell to purify negative karma and dissolve obscurations. His teachings emphasize the transformative power of purification through the sacred mantra "Om Vajrasattva Hum" (or the full 100-syllable mantra), which devotees chant to invoke deep healing, karmic release, and spiritual renewal.
