Her raised hand holds the kapala, while her lowered hand grips the kartika knife poised to sever the last threads of delusion. Resting against her shoulder, the khatvanga staff bears three severed heads, marking her command over the tantric path. A crown of five skulls sits above her third eye while beneath her feet lie two subdued figures. Ringing her form is a blazing Halo banded in skulls, and at its core rests the pentagon mandala of Vajrayogini: a six-pointed star cradling her seed syllable which speaks to her dominion over the five wisdoms and five elemental forces.

Every inch of this piece is work of Newari master craftsmen, built through centuries-old lost-wax casting. Cast from solid copper and painted in symbolic red then finished in gold gilded for a deep shine. Her skull garlands and jewelry are individually hand-chased and shaped in three dimensions for lifelike depth.
