Enlightened Yeshe Tsogyal & Mandarava Statue | Principal Consorts of Tantric Master Padmasambhava

This extraordinary statue pair begins as a hand-sculpted wax model, transformed through precise metal casting before being painstakingly hand-carved and polished to perfection. The surface is then finished with gold fire-gilding, a sacred technique in which a gold-mercury amalgam is heated until the gold bonds permanently with the metal, producing the deep luminous warmth. Standing at 29 inches tall and weighing 21.64 kg as a pair, this masterwork represents the pinnacle of traditional Nepalese craftsmanship.

Each figure stands upon a double-lotus seat framed within a magnificent floral halo of wisdom featuring crimson red interior. Yeshe Tsogyal is rendered with an elaborate jeweled crown and ornate earrings, her gold-painted face radiating serene compassion as she holds a skull cup and kapala. Mandarava stands in equal splendor with her gold-painted face distinguished by the third eye on her forehead, dressed in silk garments adorned with flower garlands, and holding a vase alongside a ceremonial staff crowned with a half-kartika knife and Vishwa Vajra.
