This Dorje Phagmo Statue is hand-carved from semi-precious lapis lazuli stone, a gemstone revered for its sacred significance and esteemed place in Himalayan Buddhist art. Every intricate detail of the goddess, including her serene expression, dynamic posture, ornate crown featuring the sow’s head, and sacred implements, is carefully shaped by skilled Newari artisans from Patan, Nepal, who preserve this traditional craftsmanship through generations.

Once the semi-precious lapis lazuli carving is complete, the statue is adorned with handcrafted copper elements and finished with radiant 24K gold fire gilding which creates a luminous golden appearance. Carefully set coral inlays further enhance the sculpture’s beauty, highlighting the exceptional combination of semi-precious lapis lazuli, copper, gold, and traditional Himalayan artistry. 

Dorje Phagmo is depicted standing upon a subdued figure, symbolizing the triumph over ignorance and negative forces. About Dorje Phagmo

Dorje Phagmo, also known as Vajravārāhī or the "Thunderbolt Sow," is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying the wrathful aspect of Vajrayogini and regarded as the supreme queen of all dakinis. She is considered an emanation of enlightened feminine energy and a divine consort of Heruka Chakrasamvara. The lineage of Dorje Phagmo began in the 15th century with Chökyi Drönma, a princess of Gungthang, who was recognized by the mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo as an incarnation of Vajravārāhī. This marked the start of the Samding Dorje Phagmo line, which is the highest female incarnation in Tibet and ranks third in the Tibetan Buddhist hierarchy after the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama.
