This Shakyamuni Buddha statue is, beautifully handcrafted in Nepal using the centuries-old lost-wax method, casted in solid copper and enriched with layers of gold fire-gilding. The Buddha is portrayed in the timeless Bhumisparsha Mudra and his hand resting in meditative stillness cradling an alms bowl. Buddha is portrayed with serene gold-painted face radiating quiet wisdom while the polished monastic robe drapes over the body with refined elegance. The statue seats upon a beautifully tiered lotus seat creating an altar-worthy presence worthy for any sacred spaces.

The buddha statue is elevated upon an ornate throne crafted with remarkable attention to detail. The tiered throne is adorned with intricately repoussé-worked dragons and floral motifs in high relief. Decorative scrolls flank either side of the throne while the base edge is lined with rows of turquoise and semi-precious stone inlays. The entire throne is finished in the same gold fire-gilded copper as the figure of shakyamuni buddha.
