About Tsangpa Gyare 

Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje (1161–1211) was one of Tibet's most revered Buddhist masters and the founder of the Drukpa Kagyu lineage, a prominent branch of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Born in the Tsang region of Tibet, he became the devoted disciple of Lingchen Repa Pema Dorje, receiving the complete transmission of the Kagyu teachings and meditative practices.
