Thousand-Armed Chenrezig is a majestic embodiment of boundless compassion in Tibetan Buddhism, and he represents the enlightened activity of Avalokiteshvara, who is the bodhisattva of compassion. His form is radiant and white, and he stands gracefully upon a lotus and moon disc, which symbolize purity and the altruistic intention of bodhicitta. He has eleven faces that reflect the stages of spiritual realization, and his topmost face is that of Amitabha Buddha, who is his spiritual source.
