Maitreya Buddha

Maitreya Buddha, honored as the future Buddha in Buddhist tradition, represents hope, compassion, and the renewal of the Dharma. According to Buddhist scriptures such as the Pali Canon and Mahayana sutras, Maitreya currently resides in Tushita Heaven, awaiting the time to descend to Earth when the teachings of the present age have declined. In Buddhist iconography, Maitreya Buddha is commonly depicted in a seated posture, often in a relaxed position symbolizing readiness to guide beings toward enlightenment. Sacred attributes such as a stupa or ritual vase reflect the preservation of Dharma and the promise of spiritual nourishment. A Maitreya Buddha statue serves as a meaningful symbol of optimism, moral virtue, and future awakening, making it a revered presence for meditation spaces, home altars, and spiritual environments dedicated to peace and inner growth.
