Enlightened Buddha Statue – Founder of Buddhism in Serene Meditative Form

Our Shakyamuni Buddha statue is a refined expression of Newari artistry, created by master artisans in Nepal. The sculpture is cast in copper using lost-wax method & richly finished with layers of 24K gold fire-gilding for a lasting shine, while hand-chased floral engravings and detailed patterned work reveal the depth and precision of every surface. Turquoise and coral gemstones are carefully inlaid throughout the halo, adding vibrant color against the gold.

This statue faithfully depicts Shakyamuni, born Prince Siddhartha Gautama seated in the earth-touching gesture that marks the moment of his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand cradles a patra bowl resting gently in his lap symbolizing renunciation and humility, while a finely patterned Kasaya robe drapes naturally across his form. An ornate halo frames the figure in radiant light and the lotus pedestal rests upon a richly carved throne divided by miniature pillars, adorned with celestial elephants, snow lions, and a kneeling devotee figure, representing strength and unwavering devotion to the path of awakening.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

About Siddhartha Gautama

Siddhartha Gautama, the crown prince of the Shakya Kingdom, was born into royalty — adorned in silks, jewels, and the promise of a throne. Yet at the age of 29, moved by the profound suffering of the world, he renounced his palace and riches to seek a deeper truth. Through six years of unwavering meditation and discipline, he attained full enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree, transcending the crown of a king to become something far greater — the Shakyamuni Buddha, the crowned King of Dharma. He journeyed to the deer park of Sarnath, where he first turned the Wheel of Dharma, offering humanity not gold or power, but the timeless path to liberation and nirvana.
