Siddhartha Gautama

Siddhartha Gautama, born as the crown prince of the Shakya Kingdom, was raised to be a king following his royal father's wishes. However, at around 29 years old, he witnessed the profound suffering of people and chose to leave his palace life behind. Renouncing his luxurious robes and gold, Siddhartha embarked on a spiritual quest to understand the causes of human suffering and discover a path to liberation. After nearly six years of intense meditation, self-discipline, and study, he attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. Following this awakening, the Buddha traveled to the Deer Park in Sarnath, near Varanasi, India, to share his teachings and guide others toward enlightenment.
