Description

Traditionally Hand-carved Half Fire Gilded Gold Shakyamuni Buddha Statue

Our sacred Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is a masterfully hand-carved spiritual artwork created by a skilled artisan from Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting method. Made from high-quality copper, the statue is adorned with a radiant 24k fire gold gilding, achieved through the ancient gold amalgam process, where pure gold is mixed with mercury and applied to the surface. After firing, the mercury evaporates, leaving behind a durable and lustrous gold layer on the copper base, known as 24k fire gold gilded on copper. Shakyamuni Buddha is gracefully seated on a lotus base in a serene meditative posture, symbolizing enlightenment and inner peace.

The Shakyamuni Buddha statue also features a hollow chamber for consecration, allowing practitioners to insert sacred mantras or relics for spiritual empowerment. Devotees pray to Shakyamuni Buddha as the historical Buddha and the enlightened teacher who showed the path to liberation.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual teacher whose insights laid the foundation for Buddhism. Born around the 5th or 6th century BCE in Lumbini—present-day Nepal—he was a prince of the Shakya clan, hence the name Shakyamuni, meaning “Sage of the Shakyas”.

Despite a life of luxury, Siddhartha was deeply moved by the suffering he witnessed outside the palace: old age, sickness, and death. These encounters led him to renounce his royal life at age 29 in search of a deeper truth. After years of ascetic practices and meditation, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, India, at the age of 35.
