Vajrayogini Dakini

Vajrayogini Dakini is a fierce and enlightened female deity in Vajrayana Buddhism, revered as the embodiment of ultimate wisdom and the transformative power of enlightened passion. Often depicted with a vibrant red body, a third eye of wisdom, and symbolic implements like a curved flaying knife and skull cup, she dances amidst flames and cremation grounds, representing the destruction of ego and illusion. Vajrayogini is considered the queen of the dakinis, celestial beings who guide practitioners on the tantric path.

Her practice is part of the highest yoga tantra and is especially suited for those with intense emotions, offering a swift path to enlightenment by transforming desire into spiritual realization. She is also known as Vajravarahi in some traditions and is inseparable from her consort Heruka Chakrasamvara, though she is often practiced as a standalone deity.
