Chenrezig

The Four-Armed Chenrezig, also referred to as Avalokiteshvara, is a highly esteemed figure in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying the essence of infinite compassion for all sentient beings. His four arms symbolize his extensive ability to assist others, with two hands positioned in a prayer gesture (anjali mudra) that hold a wish-fulfilling jewel, representing the core of compassion. In his other right hand, he holds a rosary, which signifies his ongoing prayers for the welfare of all beings, while his left-hand cradles a lotus flower, a symbol of purity and spiritual enlightenment. Chenrezig is recognized as the personification of the compassion of all Buddhas, and his mantra, "Om Mani Padme Hum," is among the most frequently recited prayers in Buddhism, calling forth the virtues of compassion and mercy.
