Chenrezig

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion in Mahayana Buddhism. He embodies the pure compassion and mercy of all Buddhas and is believed to help alleviate suffering. Devotees pray to Chenrezig to invoke his boundless compassion and to cultivate a heart of love and kindness. He is often depicted with four arms, each holding symbolic items, representing the diverse ways he offers assistance. Chenrezig mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is associated with Chenrezig, meaning "The Jewel is in the Lotus," which reflects his essence of wisdom and compassion. This powerful mantra is recited to purify the mind and bring peace and healing to oneself and others.
