Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism who lived around the 5th to 6th century BCE in what is now Nepal. Born into a royal family of the Shakya clan, he renounced his privileged life after witnessing the realities of aging, sickness, and death, seeking a path to end suffering. After years of ascetic practice and deep meditation beneath the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, he attained enlightenment at the age of 35, becoming the “Awakened One.” For the next 45 years, Shakyamuni Buddha traveled across northern India, sharing his insights through teachings such as the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. His legacy continues to inspire millions around the world, offering a timeless path toward wisdom, compassion, and liberation from suffering
