Four-Armed Vajrapani Sculpture | Tamer of Spirits & Guardian of Dharma

The Four-Armed Vajrapani Statue is a powerful representation of divine protection, strength, and enlightened energy, meticulously handcrafted by a skilled Newari artisan from Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. Formed from a solid copper base and richly adorned with three layers of 24K fire-gilded gold with an authentic gold guarantee, and enhanced with semi-precious stones, this sacred sculpture is further elevated by a finely gold-painted face that reflects the depth of Himalayan artistry and profound spiritual significance.

Vajrapani stands firmly upon a lotus pedestal above a subdued figure, symbolizing triumph over ego, ignorance, and inner obstacles. With four powerful arms holding sacred implements, including the vajra representing indestructible strength and enlightened power, this wrathful deity radiates fearless protective energy. Encircled by a blazing halo of spiritual fire, the form signifies the purification of negativity and the unwavering protection of the Dharma. The third eye upon the forehead symbolizes heightened awareness, divine vision, and awakened wisdom.

Vajrapani, in his Four-Armed form, represents intensified enlightened power, fierce protection, and unstoppable spiritual energy within Vajrayana Buddhism. This sacred manifestation is especially associated with Bhutadamara Vajrapani, meaning the “Tamer of Spirits,” who subdues harmful forces, dispels negativity, and protects practitioners on the path toward enlightenment. About Four-Armed Vajrapani

The Four-Armed Vajrapani, most notably manifested as Bhutadamara Vajrapani (the “Tamer of Spirits”), is a powerful wrathful protector deity in Vajrayana Buddhism. He embodies the fierce strength, unwavering power, and concentrated enlightened energy of all Buddhas, manifested to destroy ignorance and remove spiritual obstacles. Surrounded by blazing flames that represent the purification of negative karma, his dynamic posture conveys readiness to defend the Dharma and protect practitioners from inner and outer obstacles. As one of the earliest and most important bodhisattvas in Buddhist iconography, alongside Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri, Vajrapāṇi represents the power aspect of the enlightened mind, uniting wisdom and compassion through fearless spiritual force.
