Chakrasamvara

Chakrasamvara, also known as Heruka, is a central deity in Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying the union of bliss and emptiness, the essence of the enlightened mind. Fierce yet profoundly compassionate, he is typically depicted in a dynamic embrace with his consort Vajravarahi, symbolizing the inseparability of wisdom and method. With a dark blue body, multiple arms wielding tantric implements, and a crown of skulls, Chakrasamvara stands atop deities representing ego and ignorance, signifying the triumph of enlightened awareness over delusion. His practice, especially prominent in the Kagyu and Gelug traditions, involves complex visualizations and mantra recitations aimed at transforming ordinary perception into the pure vision of a Buddha.
