Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, born as Siddhartha Gautama, was raised in royal luxury as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom. Shielded from the harsh realities of life by his father, he lived amidst wealth and comfort. However, at the age of 29, Shakyamuni Buddha encountered the profound suffering of the world—old age, sickness, and death—which awakened a deep spiritual yearning within him. Renouncing his princely life, riches, and pleasures, Shakyamuni Buddha set out on a transformative quest to understand the root of human suffering and attain liberation. After six years of intense meditation, ascetic practices, and unwavering determination, he achieved nirvana under the Bodhi tree, becoming the Enlightened One. Following his awakening, Shakyamuni Buddha traveled to the Deer Park in Sarnath near Varanasi, India, where he delivered his first sermon and began sharing the path to enlightenment
