Green Tara

Green Tara, known as "Syamatara" in Sanskrit, is a revered female bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying enlightened activity and compassionate action. She is often depicted as a youthful, emerald-hued goddess seated in a posture of readiness, with her right leg extended to symbolize her swift response to the suffering of beings. Her left hand forms the gesture of refuge, while her right hand offers the boon of protection, both adorned with lotus flowers that represent purity and spiritual awakening. Green Tara is considered the emanation of the compassionate energy of all Buddhas and is invoked for protection against fear, obstacles, and dangers. She is especially beloved for her promise to come to the aid of those who call upon her, acting as a divine mother who swiftly liberates beings from suffering and guides them toward enlightenment.
