About Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism and is deeply revered as the enlightened teacher who revealed the path to liberation from suffering. Born into the Shakya clan, he lived a life of privilege before renouncing worldly attachments to seek spiritual truth. After years of intense meditation and ascetic practice, he attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree, earning the title "Shakyamuni," meaning "Sage of the Shakya clan. "His teachings, collectively called the Dharma, form the core of Buddhist philosophy and practice. Central to his message are the Four Noble Truths, which diagnose the nature of suffering and its cessation, and the Eightfold Path, which offers a practical guide to ethical living, mental discipline, and wisdom.
