Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, born as Siddhartha Gautama, was raised as a prince in the royal Shakya Kingdom, under his father's wishes. At the age of 29, upon encountering the immense suffering of humanity, he renounced his luxurious life, royal clothing, and wealth to seek the root of this suffering and find a way to alleviate it. After more than six years of intense meditation, self-discipline, and profound concentration, he attained nirvana, becoming the Shakyamuni Buddha. He then journeyed to the Deer Park near Varanasi (Sarnath), where he delivered his first sermon, sharing the teachings that would become the foundation of Buddhism.
