Green Tara

Green Tara is a revered female deity in Tibetan Buddhism who represents swift compassion and the enlightened power of immediate action. She is known as the Mother of Liberation and is cherished for her ability to respond quickly to the cries of those who are suffering and help them overcome physical obstacles as well as emotional challenges and spiritual blockages. Green Tara is often depicted while seated in a dynamic posture with one leg extended and the other leg folded, which symbolizes her readiness to leap into action and offer assistance to sentient beings. Practitioners recite her sacred mantra “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha” to invite her blessings for protection and courage as well as spiritual clarity.
