Description

Traditionally Hand-carved Masterfully Nagarjuna Buddha Statue is Available Now!

Nagarjuna Buddha Statue, hand-carved by a skilled artisan from Nepal who upholds the timeless heritage of Himalayan craftsmanship. This sacred statue is intricately sculpted from premium copper using the ancient lost wax method, a revered technique that ensures both precision and spiritual authenticity. After the statue is cast, it is carefully polished using a traditional blend of 24k gold and mercury. During the final firing process, the mercury evaporates completely, leaving behind a solid layer of pure gold that fuses beautifully to the copper surface, creating a radiant and highly durable finish.

Seated gracefully on a lotus base, the Nagarjuna Buddha signifies the moment of enlightenment, calling the Earth as witness. He is portrayed meditating atop a sacred serpent deity, with a single serpent elegantly rising and forming a protective canopy above his head, symbolizing both divine protection and esoteric knowledge. Our Buddha statue also includes a hollow consecration chamber, allowing practitioners to enshrine sacred mantras, relics, or blessings within, enhancing its spiritual potency and personal meaning.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

Nagarjuna Buddha

Nagarjuna was a pioneering Indian Buddhist philosopher of the 2nd–3rd century CE who founded the Madhyamaka school of Mahāyāna Buddhism and is revered as the “Second Buddha” for his profound influence on Buddhist thought. His central concept of śūnyatā or “emptiness” teaches that all phenomena lack inherent existence and arise only through dependent origination. With powerful logical reasoning and a dialectical method that challenged fixed views, he emphasized the Middle Way, a path avoiding extremes and embracing the interconnectedness of reality. His writings, particularly the Mūlamadhyamakakārikā, continue to inspire Buddhist scholars and practitioners around the world, shaping philosophical discourse, ethics, and meditative practice across generations.
