Tibetan Manjushri Statue | Hand-Carved Copper Statue with Gold Gilded Finish

Manjushri Statue is a masterfully hand-carved piece of spiritual art, crafted by a skilled artisan from Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting method. Created from high-quality copper, this statue is polished with a mixture of pure 24k gold and mercury, a process known as gold amalgamation. Once fired, the mercury evaporates and leaving behind a long-lasting and radiant golden layer on the copper body which is referred to as 24k fire gold gilded on copper base. His body is adorned with intricate designs and sacred ornaments that reflect deep symbolism and artistic excellence.

This Manjushri statue also includes a hollow chamber for consecration, allowing practitioners to place sacred relics or mantras inside, spiritually empowering the statue. Devotees pray to Manjushri to gain wisdom, clarity of thought, eloquence, and the ability to cut through ignorance and confusion. Often shown wielding the flaming sword of wisdom in one hand and holding the Prajnaparamita Sutra in the other, Manjushri represents the highest realization of intelligence and spiritual insight.

Manjushri

Manjushri is a revered figure in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, celebrated for his embodiment of transcendent insight and clarity. Often depicted as a youthful being to symbolize the ever-fresh nature of enlightened wisdom, he wields a flaming sword in his right hand that cuts through ignorance and illusion, while his left hand holds a lotus bearing the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra—teachings on perfect wisdom. His presence represents the vital force of discernment in the spiritual journey. Manjushri’s mantra, Om Ah Ra Pa Tsa Na Dhi, is recited by practitioners to enhance mental clarity, deepen understanding, and sharpen memory. In Nepalese tradition, he is also credited with creating the Kathmandu Valley by slicing through the hills at Chobhar, draining an ancient lake to reveal the sacred site of Swayambhu, symbolizing the unveiling of inner wisdom.
