Oxidized Yamantaka Statue | Machine-made for Altar & Decor

Embodying divine power, this Oxidized Yamantaka Statue is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist masterpiece crafted through electroplating—a technique that bonds layers of copper for lasting brilliance before chemically oxidizing its surface for an ancient mystic finish. Devotees invoke Yamantaka to destroy ignorance and obstacles. The statue’s deep oxidized copper face and body achieve their striking texture through controlled chemical treatment, enhancing its spiritual presence. A small deities near his foot symbolizes protection and devotion, while intricate detailing—from the radiant halo to flowing robes and multiple arms wielding sacred objects—reflects supreme artistry. As a symbol of wisdom’s triumph over delusion, this statue is a profound centerpiece for meditation and sacred spaces.

Yamantaka: The Conqueror of Death

Yamantaka, venerated as the "Destroyer of Yama, the Lord of Death", is a wrathful manifestation of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, in Vajrayana Buddhism. He embodies the ultimate triumph over ignorance, fear, and the cycle of death itself. According to esoteric tantric scriptures, he appears in a terrifying form—adorned with buffalo horns, wielding a skull-topped staff (khatvanga) and a flaying knife (kartika)—symbolizing the annihilation of ego and the severing of delusion. His nine faces, thirty-four arms, and sixteen legs represent his all-encompassing power to crush every obstacle on the path to enlightenment.

As the supreme subduer of mortality, Yamantaka’s practice involves the sacred mantra "Om Yamantaka Hum Phat" (or the extended multi-syllabic tantric mantras), which practitioners recite to dismantle inner and outer obstacles, transform fear into wisdom, and conquer the illusions of samsara. His fierce presence teaches that true fearlessness arises from penetrating insight into the nature of reality.
