Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the "Lotus-Born Master," is a highly revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism, honored as the Second Buddha for introducing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. Miraculously born from a lotus flower in the land of Oddiyana, he symbolizes purity, divine wisdom, and the transformation of negative energies into enlightened awareness. Invited by Tibetan King Trisong Detsen, Guru Rinpoche tamed obstructive forces and established the first Buddhist monastery, Samye, firmly rooting the Dharma in the Himalayan region. He is often depicted in regal attire, holding a vajra and skull cup, seated on a lotus throne, and surrounded by symbolic elements that reflect his boundless compassion and spiritual power.
