The statue includes a hollow chamber designed to hold rolled mantras, sacred relics, incense, herbal powders, and fragrant wood. During consecration, these are carefully filled and blessed through ritual prayers by qualified monks, making the statue spiritually complete and ready for your altar. A fee will be charged for this service, which is respectfully donated to the lamas performing the rituals.

Mahakala Bernagchen is a revered protector deity in Tibetan Buddhism, and he is especially associated with the Karma Kagyu lineage, where he serves as the personal guardian of the Karmapas, who are the heads of this tradition. His name means Black Cloak, and he is depicted in a wrathful form with one face and two arms, and his fierce appearance symbolizes his power to eliminate obstacles and protect the Dharma. He holds a curved flaying knife in his right hand and a skull cup in his left, and he wears a crown of five skulls and a garland of severed heads, which represent the transformation of negative emotions into wisdom.
