Chenrezig

The Four-Armed Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, revered for his infinite mercy and commitment to relieving the suffering of all beings. His four arms symbolize the Four Immeasurables—loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity—essential qualities for spiritual awakening. According to Buddhist legends, Chenrezig vowed never to rest until all sentient beings were freed from suffering, but when he saw the vast suffering of the world, his body shattered. Amitabha Buddha restored him, granting him multiple arms to extend his compassion to all beings. Devotees recite his sacred mantra, "Om Mani Padme Hum," which is believed to bring blessings, purification, and inner peace.
