Chenrezig
The Four-Armed Chenrezig, also referred to as Avalokiteshvara, is a highly esteemed figure in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying the essence of infinite compassion for all sentient beings. His four arms symbolize his limitless ability to assist others, with two hands positioned in a prayer gesture (anjali mudra) that cradle the wish-fulfilling jewel, representing the core of compassion. One of his right hands holds a rosary, reflecting the ongoing prayers for the welfare of all beings, while his left hand grasps a lotus flower, which signifies purity and spiritual enlightenment. Chenrezig is viewed as the personification of the compassion found in all Buddhas, and his mantra, "Om Mani Padme Hum," is among the most frequently recited prayers in Buddhism, calling forth the attributes of compassion and mercy.
