Green Tara

Green Tara is a beloved female bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism who embodies active compassion and swift protection. She is often depicted as a youthful and radiant figure seated in a posture of readiness, with one leg extended so that she may rise instantly to aid those in need. Her green color symbolizes vitality and enlightened activity, and she is believed to offer immediate assistance to those facing physical, emotional, or spiritual obstacles. Devotees turn to Green Tara for guidance and support, especially during times of fear and uncertainty, because she is known to respond quickly and lovingly to sincere prayers. In addition to her compassionate nature, she is also associated with overcoming the eight great fears, which include dangers such as fire, water, and wild animals, as well as internal challenges like pride and ignorance. Through her presence and blessings, Green Tara inspires courage, hope, and the unwavering belief that liberation is always within reach.
